More than 20 young Muslims from Spen Valley and Huddersfield joined local members of the Royal British Legion to collect at the Huddersfield Town Football Club.
They see it as a mark of good citizenship and demonstration of loyalty to one’s country.

Ahmadiyya Times: In other news, Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association of UK condemned the attack on a 15-year-old Army cadet raising money for Poppy Appeal.
The victim was selling poppies for Remembrance Day when suffered burns to his face in an attack with a lit aerosol can while he was wearing his uniform, was at a bus stop near Manchester Art Gallery on Saturday.
"This is a despicable act," wrote the associations in their Twitter post citing the incident from a BBC report. "We hope the cadet fully recovers and the guilty is dealt with the full force of the law."
