THE paramount ruler of Yelwa land in Ogun State, the Olu of Ilaro, Oba Gbadebo Adegbenle has called for peaceful coexistence among religious groups in the country.
The monarch made the appeal last Monday when the officials of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria led by their president (Amir), Dr Mashuud Aderenle Fasola paid him a visit.
The visit was in appreciation of the monarch’s contribution to the successful hosting of the yearly conference of the Muslim organisation in Ilaro last December. The week-long conference was attended by the paramount ruler of Yelwa and other traditional rulers across the country. Oba Gbadebo praised the peaceful coexistence between the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, other religious groups and Ilaro community over the years, saying, such should be emulated.
