Mali: Activities of charitable organization Humanity First

The country director of the NGO Humanity First Mali, M Ahmad Walid, hosted a press conference on Saturday. At the meeting held in the premises of Ahmadiyya center, M Walid, highlighted the activities that the organization conducts in Mali since 2004, when Humanity First Mali was first created.

For this conference, Mr. Walid had the chief missionary of the Ahmadiyya community, Amir Nasir Mahmood Saqib at his side. The speaker first presented to the press, the actions leading to the Humanity First throughout the world, especially in areas (zones) where populations are at risk because of war or natural disasters.

Regarding the case of Mali, the speaker first focused on the actions already undertaken, before discussing the range of projects in the pipeline. Among the already completed projects include, among others, first aid operations, distribution of drinking water, construction of water points, food distribution to the population of northern Mali facing the crisis. In the area of ​​health, Humanity First built an important humanitarian medical center Boulkassoumbougou, en commune I. This medical center now has a single objective, brings great relief to the people of the district: "to provide populations good care with humanitarian work,"said the speaker. Among the achievements also include the construction of a sewing center in Sikasso, achieving a primary school in Kolokani, broad support campaign of cataract.

According to the speaker, to date, it is estimated that more than 200 people have now received free care cataract through the first humanoid grant.

In remote areas of the country where access to water is a constant concern for people, Humanity First has installed several new wells and repaired the down pumps. In the coming years, the NGO intends to deepen its actions to help alleviate the suffering of the poor in Mali. It has announced the construction of 5 new medical centers including a polyclinic with all amenities. To contribute to the fight against unemployment by giving more employment opportunities to the youth of the country, the Humanity First Country Director Mali, announced the creation (within 5 to 6 years to come) of training schools for professionals in the fields of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, with the aim of eventually creating a major academic pole.

For the future, the flagship project will be the creation of a model village. For M Walid, the idea is to go to a village where there are all basic social services: water tower, electricity, school, health center, market-gardening perimeter ...

The Humanity First organization was created in Great Britain by the 4th Khalif of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in 1995. The organization (Humanity First) is now present across the world through its humanitarian actions financed by the mobilization of donations from grantorss and other people of good will. According to the organization, this is the Humanity First office that coordinates the US intervention in Mali and execution of these activities is now through the humanitarian arm of the Ahmadiyya Centre in Mali.
