Australia: Commuter stands up for Muslim couple abused on Sydney train | Video

A woman has defended a young Muslim couple on a train in Sydney after seeing the pair subjected to verbal racist abuse.

Stacey Eden has been praised for her actions after she stood up to a middle-aged woman who was bad mouthing the couple.

 In the video the woman can be heard calling the Muslim lady an Isis supporter because she was wearing a hijab.

On Facebook, Stacey Eden wrote: "People who are so ignorant and disrespectful to other people who were clearly sitting there minding their own business.

She was saying some pretty horrible and hurtful things before I spoke up then as soon as I started defending them she stopped."
