Thiland: Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Participates in 43rd National Book Fair


The Thai translation of the Holy Quran was the most in-demand book followed by the ‘Principle of Islamic Philosophy’ – an essay written by the Promsied Messiah (may peace be on him) - Thai, English and other languages’.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association participated in Thailand’s Annual National Book Fair 2015. This 11-days long Book Fair attracted over 1.2 million visitors this year. The Book Fair was officially inaugurated by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn on 27 March 2015. From 27th of March the Book Fair was opened for the public and it concluded on 7 April at 9 pm, with an unprecedented success and interest of people.

Along with a number of books, The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Thailand displayed collection of Holy Quran in different languages published by the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The true message of Islam was also conveyed with the help of roll-up banners, pamphlets, videos and one-on-one interaction throughout the fair. Mainly, books in different languages such as Thai, Arabic, English and Chinese were available for selling and free distribution to the interested readers. There was a huge interest shown by the non-muslims in understanding Islam and questions on contemporary issues were asked by the visitors which were responded by a team of Ahmadi Muslim volunteers.

The Thai translation of the Holy Quran was the most in-demand book followed by the ‘Principle of Islamic Philosophy’ – an essay written by the Promsied Messiah (may peace be on him) - Thai, English and other languages’. Visitors were keen to learn about the Peaceful message of Islam and solution it offered to solve today’s world conflicts. The Book ‘World Crisis and Pathway to Peace’ – a collection of speeches delivered by His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Supreme Spiritual Leader of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Community, was offered to the visitors. In addition, books like ‘Life of Muhammad (may peace be upon him)’ and ‘Jesus in India’ were also among the popular books.

Thai Muslims showed a great interest in the booklet ‘Al-Bushra’ or the glad tidings which summarized the claims of Islam Ahmadiyya pertaining to advent of the Promised Messiah in this age.

Other topics that were show-cased were the Holy Quran on various subjects, such as ‘science, ‘world peace’, ‘socio-economic peace’, ‘interfaith harmony and cooperation’, ‘True Concept of Jehad’,‘universality of Prophet hood’, ‘justice’, ‘women in Islam’ etc.

Orders were also secured for the post-exhibition delivery of Thai literature on Islam, ‘English Short Commentary of the Holy Quran’ and ‘Review of the Religions’.
