Chino -- Imam Mohammed Zafarullah from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s Baitul Hameed Mosque in Chino will lead a special “Prayer for rain” on Sunday, May 3rd immediately following the 1:30pm Zuhr prayer.

Many members of the Ahmadiyya Mosque at 11941 Ramona Ave. will be there, and people of other faiths are also welcome to attend in this non-denominational prayer effort to call on God’s help and mercy in easing California’s years-long drought. An official interfaith “Prayer-for-Rain” event is tentatively set for Sat., June 20th as well.

Prayers to God in times of drought have been a fixture of religious life across all faiths since mankind first believed in a Higher Power. And faith traditions use the answering of prayers for rain as a Sign that God exists and that He does answer our prayers in times of need and distress.
