London/Qadian: The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mauritian Desk in London held a conference at the direction of Hazrat (His Holiness) Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the supreme head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The program took place on 2nd May in Noor Hall at the prestigious Baitul Futuh, the largest mosque complex in Western Europe.
This event was held under the auspices of the Pan African Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (PAAMA) and its president, Mr. Tommy Kallon, addressed the gathering.
The theme of the event, which was attended by 40 men and 30 ladies, was “The Role of Faith Communities in Promoting Peace”.
Several non-Ahmadi guests attended the function.
Proceedings were chaired by Mr. Khalid Bhunnoo, the new Chairperson for the Ahmadiyya Mauritius Desk in the UK.
In his closing address Mr. Bhunnoo said that he is grateful to Allah Almighty for the event's success especially as the Mauritian Jama'at is celebrating its centenary this year.
"In accordance with Beloved Huzoor [Hazrat Ahmad]'s request, the Maritian Desk will hold a similar event before November," Mr. Bhunnoo said.
The Forum ended with silent prayers which were led by Maulana Jahangeer Khan who had also spoken at the forum.
