India: Qadian Ahmadi youths distribute flavored cold drinks to beat extreme heat wave


The heat wave gripping India has reportedly claimed nearly 2,500 lives and  monsoon rains could still be days away, international news media has reported.

Qadian: Ahmadi Muslim youth and their counterparts from other faith communities joined forces to help the people of Qadian beat the extreme heat wave with flavored cold drinks.

In many parts of Qadian youth presented free cold sweetened water drinks to passersby.

The united effort named 'Humanity Care' also distributed the cold drinks among residents.

In Civil Lines, Naeem Ahmad and many youth of the area distributed cold sweet water to the local residents and the surrounding areas.

The heat wave gripping India has reportedly claimed nearly 2,500 lives and  monsoon rains could still be days away, international news media has reported..

"People are trying to stay cool in whatever way they can," wrote CNN adding that the government is urging residents to .. drink plenty of water.
