USA: Local Muslim community in Rochester celebrates Eid Ul Fitr

Muslims throughout the community celebrated Eid Ul Fitr Saturday, marking the end of the Muslim Holy Month, Ramadan.

Saturday morning, members of the local Muslim community gathered at their Mosque for a celebration.

News10NBC was in attendance and spoke to a local Imam leader.
 
He tells us he and the rest of the community are working hard to spread the true meaning of Islam-- which he says is nothing but peace.

"The Ahmadiyya community condemns all sorts of terrorist activities. We not only profess peace and service to mankind, but we practice it as well,” said Hamid Nasir Malik, Imam in Rochester.

The Holy Month of Ramadan wrapped up Friday.
