The Los Angeles East chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community hosted a Muslim for Loyalty Iftar Dinner on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Baitul Hameed mosque in Chino, California.

Over 500 members of the community attended the gathering along with several guests.

Following recitation of the Holy Qur'ān, the audience recited the United States pledge of allegiances lead by the local chief of police, Karen Comstock, while two young Ahmadī men -- who are members of the US armed forces -- stood at attention and rendered the hand salute to the US Flag.

Young Ahamdi Muslim children, atfal and nasirat, also participated in the pledge.

Amjad Mahmood Khan, national public affairs secretary for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, delivered the keynote address.

In his speech Khan explained the background of the Muslim for Loyalty campaign and explained the duty of the Muslims to serve their country.

Various guest speakers addressed the gathering including the chief of police, a representative of the Bahá'í Faith, and a councilman from the city of Corona.

All of the guests were thanked for their participation in the Muslim for Loyalty event.

Imam Muhammad Zafrullah explained the importance of loyalty and concluded the event with silent prayers.

Guests were then treated to an Iftar dinner.

One week prior to the event, the members of the Los Angeles East chapter participated in 4th of July celebrations in the city of Corona.

Handheld United States flags along with Muslims for Life water bottles were distributed to the crowds. In addition over 2,000 Muslims for Loyalty pamphlets were distributed to the parade-watchers.
