The Supreme Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Khalifatul Masih V, has appealed to all Ahmadi Muslims to help spread the true peaceful message of Islam to all parts of the world.
According to him, the Holy Prophet Muhammad espoused that a person should desire for others what he or she preferred for himself or herself, and “it is with this spirit that Ahmadi Muslims ought to propagate the message of true Islam.”
The Supreme Head was addressing the closing session of the 40th International Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Germany.
This was contained in a statement released and copied to the Daily Graphic in Accra.
The convention, which lasted three days, was attended by participants, including foreign delegates.
Hadhrat Mirza said Muslims would never use force to compel people to embrace their religion, but would always seek to persuade others with love and reason only.
“Nobody can be compelled to believe; rather, it is only our task to convey the message and thereafter it is up to Allah to open people’s hearts to the truth.”
“The Holy Qur’an states that the propagation of Islam should be conducted with wisdom. Thus, all preachers should seek to persuade others with logic and courtesy and should inculcate patience and empathy in their character,” he said.
The Supreme Head said to spread the message of Islam, it was essential that a person himself set the highest moral standards and be an example for others to follow, adding: “It would be hypocritical for an immoral person to seek to guide others towards morality.”
He commended members of the Ahmadi Muslims Community in Germany for their relentless efforts to help propagate Ahmadiyyat in the country.
He said through their hard work and dedication, the German Government had officially recognised the Hesse State as a community of authority in Islam.
