Australia: 31st Islamic Convention (Jalsa Salana) Concludes


The Association received numerous messages of greetings, support and well wishes including message from the Prime Minister, Premier New South Wales and Mayor City of Blacktown.

Hon. Malcolm Turnbull Prime Minister of Australia Commends the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association for its Contributions 

31st ‘Jalsa Salana’ (Annual Convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia concludes at ‘Bait-ul-Huda’ mosque, Masden Park, Sydney. The three-day event – chaired by the National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia, Mr I. H. Kauser – featured addresses by scholars, Imams, religious leaders and dignitaries. Along with many Australians, the convention was attended by government officials, diplomats and various media outlets. The Association received numerous messages of greetings, support and well wishes including message from the Prime Minister, Premier New South Wales and Mayor City of Blacktown.

Hon. Malcolm Turnbull Prime Minister of Australia said,
“The Ahmadiyya Muslim community is committed to preserving the values which underpin our open, peaceful society and I commend them for their efforts. I wish the convention every success and thank the Ahmadiyya Muslim community for its contribution to an inclusive and cohesive Australia.” 



Hon. Mike Baird Premier NSW said,
“On behalf of the NSW Government, I commend Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia for actively supporting our principles of freedom and opportunity, and for promoting peace and understanding throughout the community.” 

The National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia, Mr. I. H. Kauser said,
“Australia’s Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) has always promoted ‘love for all, hatred for none’ and a sense of peace, tolerance, unity and brotherhood. It has provided a platform for people of all walks of life to join and engage in positive and peaceful dialogue. It has become a part of rich Australian fabric of multiculturalism and acceptance. Our convention is in line with great Australian tradition of sharing and caring and we pray for the success and development of our beloved homeland, Australia.”
