A two member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Moulavi A.B. Muneer Ahmad, Missionary - AMJSL and A. Abdul Aziz National Director Faith Outreach - AMJSL visited Head Office of the JVP (Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna – People’s Liberation Front) on 23 December 2015, to gift Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to its Leader Honorable Anura Kumara Dissanayaka – a Member of Parliament.
Secretary to Anura Kumara Dissanayaka, Mr. Galgamuwage welcomed the delegation and accepted the copy of Sinhala Translation of Holy Qur’an and showed much interest in knowing about Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at.
Mr. Abdul Aziz took this opportunity and briefed him about the Jama’at, the claim of the Ahmadiyya founder, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, based on scriptures of major religions of the world. The Secretary expressed his willingness to know about the real teachings of Islam and its current image created by few evil elements. While the Secretary quoted about ISIS and its cruel and inhuman acts, Abdul Aziz categorically rejected their activities and said, these ISIS actions didn’t have any remote link with the teachings of Islam as taught by Holy Qur’an and its founder, the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
On hearing this, the Secretary said that he really wanted to know about all these matters related to these current issues.
Abdul Aziz went on to say about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, in Ireland Parliament, and recently the Dutch Parliament. He was informed about the gist of His Holiness' address during the recent Dutch Parliament visit.
The Press Secretary (AMJSL) further pointed out about the unique feature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and said that this is the only Community which has Spiritual Leadership and termed as 'ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’. He added that the Community’s motto is ’LOVE FOR ALL; HATRED FOR NONE’. Furthermore, the relationship and bond between the Khalifa and his community is a unique and unparalleled one, Aziz added.
‘World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace’ – book also was presented.
JVP is a communist and Marxist–Leninist party in Sri Lanka.
The delegation also visited to office of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) and gifted copy of the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an with some other literatures including Peace Messages in English as well as Sinhala were presented. Moreover, the Sinhala Translation of the book ‘The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam’ written by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad – Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Islam.
