Imam Shamshad A. Nasir, President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Glen Ellyn Chapter and Regional Missionary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community spoke about the spread of terrorism and dedicated a portion of the Friday sermon to remember the victims of the massacre in San Bernardino, California,

“We condemn this senseless and horrific act of violence in the strongest possible terms,” said the Imam , adding, "our hearts go out to the innocent victims and their families and we stand in solidarity with them as their neighbors and brothers and sisters in peace."

Imam Shamshad said in his Friday Sermon that  IS and terrorists are not fighting for Islam and Islam has nothing to do with it. "We need to be united against extremism. We must stand united against this attack and cannot let it become a propaganda tool for extremist organizations like Daesh."

During the Friday congregational prayers, the community prayed for the victims, their families and the entire grieving community.

Imam also reiterated the message from Ahmadiyya Muslim community's national leadership which read:
"Our prayers are for the swift recovery of the injured and for our heroic San Bernardino county law enforcement officers. We continue to offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims."
Imam Shamshad further made reference to the Friday Sermon by the Worldwide leader of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat (His Holiness) Mirza Masroor Ahmad, delivered on December 4th, 2015, wherein His Holiness said that the world is heading towards a very dangerous situation.

Imam conveyed to his congregation that His Holiness has asked Ahmadi Muslims all over the world to engage in prayers abundantly for the establishment of peace in the world.
