Yucatan, Mexico: Merida's Ahmadiyya Muslim Community donates to CAM "Louis Braille"


For Humanity First's commitment to humanity it is essential, and therefore, in Mexico, began this work in the Multiple Assistance Center "Luis Braille".

Merida- The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Muslims who believe the Messiah Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (as), through the International Organization "Humanity First" made ​​a donation to the Multiple Assistance Center "Luis Braille" .

The official handover ceremony of the donation was held today at 10 am in the CAM "Luis Braille" located on Calle 22 x 27A and 29 No. 153, CP 97205 Loma Bonita in Merida, Yucatan.

The ceremony was attended by the following authorities: Magenny Leal Narvaez (Head of the Department of Educational Services) representing Prof. Escalante flower Centeno, Teresa Solis Torre (Director of Special Education), Ana Isabel Escalante Vivas (Supervisor, Special Education Zone 02), Carolina Valdivia (Technical Advisor Zone 02 Special Education), Prof. Genaro Burgos (Director of the USAER 19), Cologne Prof. José Matos (Director of CAM "Luis Braille"), as well as campus faculty, parents, students and guests of Humanity First in Mexico.

As part of the program prepared by the Director of CAM, teachers and pupils, awards and details to members of Mexico were delivered Humanity First and speeches proclaimed by the attending authorities and by the Representative of Humanity First in Mexico, Ms. Amelia Hu. Students actively participated in the ceremony also speeches, words of thanks and intonation of a song. In addition, the children gave different cards that they performed as a gesture of appreciation for Humanity First which were given to the organizers.

The grant awarded by Humanity First to the CAM  "Luis Braille" consisted of: guardrail, Perkins machines, lamps, a playground for children, tables, molds for piñatas, shelves and manual labor, all free of charge.

Humanity First is an organization of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat. Humanity First is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization operating in over 43 countries: Canada, United States, Guatemala, New Zealand, among others. Its mission is to help in natural disasters and serve in places where you can improve the quality of life of communities. In addition to promoting peace and understanding among the general public.

Humanity First has been working on human development projects and responding to disasters since 1994. These have included the earthquakes in Turkey, Pakistan, Japan and Iran, floods in Africa, Latin America and Haiti, storms and tsunamis in the US, Indonesia and Bangladesh and conflicts in Eastern Europe. Over 93% of donated funds is used directly to aid projects. To date, we have focused on various Health (Give Gift of Sight-view) programs; Education programs (Our Kids, our Future-Our Children, Our Future) and vocational programs (Learn a Skill-Learning skills), all aimed at improving the quality of life of people.

For Humanity First's commitment to humanity it is essential, and therefore, in Mexico, began this work in the Multiple Assistance Center "Luis Braille". With the donation granted, we are confident that the safety and quality of education for students will increase. For us, it is a pleasure to help and we reiterate our commitment to the realization of this kind of social work. In Mexico today working in the states of Yucatan and Chiapas.
