The president of Canada’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at has released a statement condemning Tuesday’s terrorist attacks in Belgium and offering prayers for the dead and wounded.
“Our sincerest prayers and thoughts are with the bereaved families of the victims and all Belgians during this time of tragedy,” said Lal Khan Malik in a statement.
“Islam forbids such attacks and rejects all forms terrorism,” he said.
Suicide bombers simultaneously attacked a metro station and an airport in Brussels Tuesday. At least 31 people are believed dead.
