The Chino mosque of a reformist Muslim community will hold a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Monday March 28, in commemoration of the scores of victims who died in a Pakistani Taliban terrorist bombing aimed at Christians gathered in a park in Lahore, Pakistan on Easter day.
"We condemn this unconscionable crime against humanity," Asim Ansari, president of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Inland Empire Chapter, said in a statement.
"Our hearts go out to the innocent victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with our Christian brothers and sisters in Southern California during this difficult time."
A release from the group noted that on May 28, 2010, the Pakistani Taliban massacred 86 Ahmadi Muslims in twin terror attacks. A splinter group of the terror organization has claimed responsibility for the Lahore bombing.
The prayer service will be held at the Baitul Hameed Mosque, 11941 Ramona Ave. in Chino.
