USA: Local Ahmadiyya Muslim group in Dearborn to hold vigil for victims of Brussels attacks

The Metro Detroit Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA has condemned the terror attacks in Brussels and will offer prayers and sympathies to those affected during its Wednesday night’s ‘Muhammad: Messenger of Peace’ conference at Henry Ford College in Dearborn.
“We grieve with our fellow human beings. This wasn’t just an attack on Brussels, it was an attack on humanity itself,” said Dr. Mansoor Qureshi, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Metro Deroit, which also has a mosque in Rochester Hills. “There is no basis for these barbaric actions in Islam, and we must all come together to promote peace and justice in our world”
The group said its symposium at Henry Ford College on the 23rd of March will provide a glimpse into the life and character of the Prophet of Islam and dispel any myths and false narratives perpetuated in society by both Muslims and Non-Muslims.
“The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s objective is to facilitate a dialogue and understanding among community leaders and leaders within academia to promote a true picture of Muhammad,” a statement by the group said. [more ...]
