The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association wants to answer more questions about their faith during an open house at the Norwich library.

NORWICH - The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association is hosting another Open House in Norwich.

They want to make it clear that they categorically condemn terrorist attacks and all forms of terrorism. Since the recent bout of terrorist attacks Muslim women in Canada have been subjected to hate crimes because of their religion. Ghalib Baten tells Heart FM they are hosting these Open House to explain their religion, the Quaran, and why Muslim women dress the way they do.

"We are holding this because, in the wake of recent terrorist attacks, people thought that Islam was a violent religion and they retaliated against Muslim women, identifiable Muslim women because of the way they were dressed. We just want to clarify that the way our Muslim women dress and the reason they dress that way is because mother Mary, the mother of Jesus, who we respect is mentioned in the Holy Quaran and her example is for the believers."

Baten says they are coming back to Norwich because they had a positive response the first time and he encourages anyone with questions to come out and get them answered.

The Open House is happening this Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Norwich Public Library.
