JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Chairman of the Setara Institute Hendardi said, the destruction of a Mosque in Kelurahan, Kecamatan Purworejo Ringin Arum, Kendal, Central Java, Monday (23/5/2016) early morning, by an unknown group of people is 114th destruction event experienced by Ahmadiyya congregation.
"This Destruction is the 114th Since the 2007-2015, Setara Institute recorded 113 mosques of the Ahmadiyya vandalized by public with the support of the local government apparatus," said Hendardi, when called Kompas.com, Monday (23/5/2016).
All 2015, Setara Institute noted there were 197 events of violations of religious freedom on account of belief, with 236 actions spread across Indonesia.
When compared to the previous year, this figure shows a significant increase.
In 2014, the events of offensive actions happened 134 times, while the acts of infringement were numbered at 177.
Hendardi said in 2015 there were 17 State institutions who performed acts that contributed to violation of freedom of religion or belief.

From the victims' side, violations of freedom of religion or belief in 2015 were against diverse groups of victims.
Hendardi asked Interior Minister Tjahjo Kumolo to act soon on the poor condition of freedom of belief and religion in Indonesia.
Minister of the Interior, he said, should ensure the Ahmadiyya followers in Kelurahan Purworejo obtain their rights.
"Setara Institute again reminded the Minister of the Interior Tjahjo Kumolo to act," said Hendardi.
