Sri Lanka: Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation distribution continues after summer holidays


 The similarity between the system of caliphate after the demise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and its re-establishment after the demise of Promised Messiah (a.s.) was explained in detail.

Director, Japanese Management Educational Institute showed keen interest to know about Islam – Ahmadiyyath. 

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr.A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi K.M. Munir Ahmad (Missionary – Pasyala) and Murabbi Munazzer (Negombo) visited Kadawatte and Katunayake area during the first week of May, 2016 and distributed Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to various schools and Educational Institutions.

Deputy Principal Galahitiyawa Central College, Ganemulla Mrs. Anusha welcomed the delegation  and said that she was very keen to have a copy of Holy Qur’an Copy and thanked the delegation for fulfilling her wish.

Galahitiyawa Hemamali Vidyalaya, Ganemulla, Sri Swarnapali Maha Vidyalaya, Ganemulla, Bollatha Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Ganemulla, Sri Vijeya Maha Vidyalaya, Ganemulla, Sri Seelantha Maha Vidyalaya, Chandrajothi Maha Vidyalaya, Yakkala, Kirilliwela Central College, Kadawatte and Sri Tharakumba Maha Vidyalay, Imbulgoda  are some schools in the area where Jama;at delegation visited and gifted Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation.

The following day Jama’at delegation visited schools in the area namely, Katunayake, Kathirana and Seeduwa.

They met Rangei Bushi Nokai Free School Director in Kathirana Rev. Upaseeha Thero who warmly welcomed the delegation. The Thero showed much interest to know about Islam – Ahmadiyyat and the delegation took this opportunity to explain him more on this subject, and briefed him about the Jama’at, the claim of Promised Messiah (a.s.) based on scriptures of major religions of the world.

The delegation went on to say about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, in Ireland Parliament, and recently the Dutch Parliament. He was informed about the gist of His Holiness' address during the recent Dutch Parliament visit.

The delegation further pointed out about the unique feature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and said that this is the only Community which has Spiritual Leadership and termed as ““ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’. The similarity between the system of caliphate after the demise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and its re-establishment after the demise of Promised Messiah (a.s.) was explained in detail.

The delegation added that the Community’s motto is ’LOVE FOR ALL; HATRED FOR NONE’. Furthermore, the relationship and bondage between the Khalifa and his community is a unique and unparalleled.

Ahmadiyya delegation then visited to J.G.O. Educational center at Thimbrigaskatuwa and met Principal Sunith Chandana. He also showed much interest to know about Islam – Ahmadiyyath and the delegation explained in detail on the subject.

The delegation visited various schools in the area namely St. Sebastian Maha Vidyalaya, Katuwapitiya, Dutugamunu Maha Vidyalaya, Thimrigaskotuwa, Kathirana Kanishta Viyalaya, Katunayake Maha Vidyalaya, Bandaranayake Vidyalaya, Seeduwa, Jothi Rathana Kanishta Vidayalaya, seeduwa and Davi Semana Maha Vidyalaya, Seeduwa and gifted Holy Qur’an Sinhala Transaltion.

To all of them, along copy of the Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an with some other literatures including Peace Messages in English as well as Sinhala were presented.

Moreover, in a tour organized by Ahmadiyya youth wing, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Sri Lanka, for their auxiliary, Atfalul Ahmadiyya, a visit was made to one of the Church in Kandy – capital of Hill Country, Sri Lanka. A Part of Turin shroud was displayed in the church premises. Ahmadiyya team had the opportunity to explain the real picture of the shroud. They also presented two copies of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to Priests of the church.
