Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival that marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims around the world celebrate this joyous day to give thanks for the blessings of fasting. They wear new clothing, cook delicious food and invite friends and neighbours to celebrate with them. Fasting during Ramadan inspires sympathy for the hungry and needy, and encourages Muslims to donate generously to the poor.

The National President of the Community, Imam I. H. Kauser said:
“By the grace of Allah we were able to enjoy the blessings of the holy month of Ramadan and to reflect on the bounties of His mercy upon us. I extend my heartiest Eid Mubarak to all Australian Muslims and fellow Australian. As we celebrate this day we must remember poor and needy in our charities. We must meet our neighbours and friends on this day. May this Eid bring peace and prosperity for our country and for the whole world.”
