Re: Concerns rise over extremist teachings, Aug. 23
The article states that Islamic schools and mosques across Canada are filled with literature that perpetuates violence and fuels extremism. However the article provides little proof and maligns the efforts by peaceful Muslims who are engaged in various initiatives to counter extremism.
The article goes on to say that children are at risk of becoming radicalized as mosques are not condemning acts enough. This statement is false. The Ahmadi Muslim community has been at the absolute forefront of defending the name of Islam and condemning these acts. Countless humanitarian efforts have been performed around Canada, the most prominent and notable ones being Stop the CrISIS and Million pounds of food campaign.
The media needs to become more responsible. Rather than shining the spotlight on reports like these, which only succeed in furthering the rift between Islam and the west, efforts such as those shown by the Ahmadiyya Muslim community and other peaceful Muslims need to be presented more in the media to create a balance and fair reporting.

I agree that media needs to play more responsible role.if the media is reporting the terrerosim than it must also talk about the efforts that different muslim communities are making to promote the peace and harmony around the world.it should also promote the activities that muslim community is having to spread the true and peaceful teachings of islam
