USA: Friends of Ganondagan making connections in Victor, NY


The participants and attendees will share food and light refreshments and "break bread" together.

An event to promote understanding among people of various gender, religious and ethnic groups is set for 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Seneca Art and Culture Center, 7000 County Road 41, Victor.

"Breaking Bread, Building Bridges," hosted by Friends of Ganondagan, will take place 2-4 p.m. and will include the perspectives of transgender woman and human rights advocate Gabrielle Hermosa, Mubarak Bashir from the Rochester Ahmadiyya Muslim community and Laureen Jimerson (Seneca, Heron Clan), who was raised on the Cattaraugus Indian reservation.

After they share their stories and perspectives, the participants and attendees will share food and light refreshments and "break bread" together.

Admission is $10 per person, $7 for Friends of Ganondagan members.
