There recently have been murders of people simply because they were Muslims. In New York City, it was a Muslim imam and his assistant and in Oklahoma, a man of Arab ethnicity.

As a teenage American member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, I'm saddened and troubled by the surge of such attacks. My Islamic faith condemns the harming — let alone the killing — of members of any religion.

In response to the July murder of a priest in France by ISIS-inspired assailants, the spiritual head of my community, his holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmed, the Khalifa of Islam, decried the act as “abhorrent and entirely opposed to Islam's teachings.” Working in solidarity with other faith leaders, the khalifa praised Pope Francis' recent comments that the “world is at war, (but) it is not a religious war.”

He also warned the media about the widespread practice of showcasing a handful of Muslim extremists rather than the sea of peace-loving Muslims who wholly condemn hatred in the name of religion. Repeated images of these renegades in traditional garb create an environment of fear around all Muslims who don a headscarf or a prayer cap.

If we truly are to make America great again, we need to focus on the murders of innocents, regardless of their beliefs or appearance, and bring to light the message of champions of peace, with the Khalifa of Islam at the forefront.

  1. Islam is a religion of peace and the "religion" cannot be blamed because of the actions of few people.Millions of Muslims living peacefully around the globe represent what Islam is. Islam is all about love and harmony. Its all about living peacefully without creating disorder. So these anti-Islamic incidents and threats to innocent Muslims must be stopped. These peace-loving Muslims have nothing to do with terrorism.

  2. A very good article which describes the need of today's world. The world needs peace, no one has right to kill innocents does not matter from which religion they belong.

  3. Islam never taught its followers to kill anyone. It is a religion of peace. These so called muslims are using the name of islam when in practice they are not following the teachings of Islam at all.
Now a days, true teachings of Islam can only be seen in Ahmadiyyat.

  4. Ahmadiyya community is growing faster day by day because the believers know that only Ahmadis are portraying the true picture if Islam...

  5. This has occurred countless times but each time it is just as sad and terrifying as the first. It is true, thousands of Muslims are law abiding, kind, generous Muslims. They should be shown, not the horrific Muslims who are only giving Islam a bad name.

  7. I totally agree that "the world is at war, (but) it is not a religious war" because if it would have been a religious war than it would have been a spiritual war rather than a war for materialistic means.
Also, I would agree to what you said that we all would have to work together in order to make America great again. As we can't divide people and then become great again.
