Australia: Ahmadiyya Muslims to Host Peace Symposium – 2016 -- ‘How To Achieve Peace?’


More than 100 people including Members of the State and Federal parliament, diplomats, academics, religious leaders and community friends are expected to attend the Peace Symposium 2016 at ‘Albert Hall’, Yarralumla, Canberra

The symposium is organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association of Canberra

More than 100 members of the civil society will gather at the historic ‘Albert Hall’ in Yarralumla Canberra to discuss ‘How to Achieve Peace’ on 19th of November 2016.

The event is expected to attract leading politicians, diplomats, religious and secular leaders, academics, government officials and members of the general public. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association has been hosting the peace symposium for last many years which has now become one of the most popular event of the community. This is the first time Canberra branch will hold peace symposium.

The National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia, Mr. I. H. Kauser said:

"Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Australia’s Peace Symposiums provide a unique platform to leaders of all faiths and of no faiths to sit under one roof, break the bread and discuss different ways and challenges in establishing lasting peace in our society. It is a unique gathering in a way that discusses only one theme and that is peace. We, the Ahmadi Muslims, are eager to learn and spread the message of peace and harmony which is important and crucial than it has ever been. Our objective is to bring communities together and making an alliance with the help of religious, secular and political leadership to establish peace and harmony in our society."

Imam Kauser further said:
“This event is for all those who are interested in learning about peace building and community relations.”

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, reformist and fast-growing international revival movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, the Community spans more than 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions.
