A minority sect of Muslims will visit Toowoomba tomorrow to spread their message of inter-faith harmony.

Zain Baig from the Ahmadiyya Muslim community said a group of about 15 members would be in town to counter concerns about radical Islam.

He said members of society were not aware that a basic tenant of the Islamic faith was of loyalty to a country of residence.

He said members would be distributing pamphlets at Grand Central, Picnic Point and Queens Park.

Mr Baig said the community's teachings included community service and humanitarian work.

The members will leave their base in Brisbane after the morning prayers, about 5am.

The Muslims will also go on a sight-seeing tour of the city.

Mr Baig said the group's imam, Ahmed Nadeem, would be part of the tour.

  1. Have a great day guys, I hope the weather is nice for you.
Please remember though, Australia is a young progressive country. We reject anything old world.
    It is our culture.
