India: Sheikh Abdul Qadeer Derwaish buried in Bahishti Maqbra Qadian


The burial took place in the special area designated for Derwaishan-e-Qadian and a large number of Ahmadi Muslims participated in the funeral prayer

Qadian: Sheikh Abdul Qadeer Derwaish who passed away in Qadian at the age of 88, was buried on Monday in Bahishti Maqbra.

Maulana Mohammad Inaam Ghori, Chief Secretary Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Qadian led the funeral prayer after the Asar (mid-afternoon) prayers.

The burial took place in the special area designated for Derwaishan-e-Qadian and a large number of Ahmadi Muslims participated in the funeral prayer. Several Hindu and Sikh friends of Darwaish were also present to observe at his last rites.

After the grave was closed, Maulana Mohammad Inaam Ghori led all present in silent prayers.

Mr. Nasir Waheed, the son of Derwaish disclosed that his father had told him about an hour before his his death that ‘my time has come now, and I am going.'
