Interfaith Leaders attending this event included Christians of various denominations, Jewish, Buddhist and Islam
Imam Mohammed Zafarullah and one other member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Chino, California attended a Health Legacy Fair on Thursday October 27th, 2016.
This interfaith event, held at the St John’s Episcopal Church in La Verne, California was jointly sponsored by the American Cancer Society, Vistas Healthcare and Pomona Valley Hospital.
The purpose of the workshop, according to the organizers, was to encourage the integration of Interfaith Options with Healthcare Advance Planning and other Healthcare options available to ease the individuals through their final days.
The American Cancer Society addressed the issue of Palliative Care and options available. One clergy talked about making wise choices through City of Hope National Medical Center. Another presenter addressed the issue of Hospice and the difference between this and Palliative care. Another presenter spoke in length of the advantages of having an Advance Directive prepared which gives the Medical Institution and families directives of what to do in case the patient cannot decide for himself/herself in his/her final moments.
The presenter urged all to have this Advance Directive prepared at an early age and to ensure that is it is an accessible location for the family members or medical institution to have at the time of decision.

Imam Zafarullah met many faith leaders and introduce the Ahamadiyya Muslim community, the Holy Quran and the life of the Holy Founder of Islam The Prophet Muhammad.
Overall it was an informative workshop which brought interfaith and medical groups together for the common cause of assisting the affected individuals of various beliefs, including atheism, during their final days.
