India: Mumbai Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at organizes its 2nd Peace Symposium
Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at's 2nd Peace Symposium in Mumbai held on the theme of World Peace-The Critical Need of the Time with the community's abiding motto of “Love for all Hatred for none”

This Peace Symposium was organized by Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, Mumbai at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, Pedder Road, Mumbai on 11th February 2017. The event was graced by religious gurus and academicians, who came under one roof to express and endorsed the idea of Universal Brotherhood and Peace.
The peace symposium witnessed a packed auditorium eager to listen to the honourable speakers for the evening. After the traditional recitation of the Holy Quran, the stage was open for religious representative to express their idea of Peace and its need in today’s time.
Dr. Ram Puniyani, the noted medical faculty turned writer of repute on social equality and harmony, enthralled the audience with his appealing style. Presenting historical facts of kings and personalities and how they regarded Peace during their era. He reminded the audience the spirit of tolerance and social harmony. He also differentiated how regional conflicts of the past rulers have now been utilized to spread hatred among religions.
Swami Muktidananda Maharaj Ji of the Ramakrishna Mission spoke about the teachings of Hinduism, the oldest religion with its rich culture. He also spoke about how war is bane in today’s time and it emphasized how humans are becoming ignorant to their own existence.
Dr. Homi B. Dhalla represented the Zoroastrian faith touched upon the need for faiths to unit so that they can represent the world as one Race, which is the Human Race. He also recognized the need to inculcate the love for respecting each other’s religion, especially among youth.
Fr. Sebastian M Michael, the Chairman of the Mumbai Archdiocesan Commission for InterReligious Dialogue spoke on the message of universal love taught by Jesus Christ and said that tolerance of other faith should have a positive dimension of love between communities. He repeatedly emphasized that religions to should reconcile their difference and accept each other as who they are.
Retd. Justice Kolshe Patil of the Bombay High court in his speech reflected how every religion propagates the same message of Peace and Brotherhood and now that we know the message as rightful citizens we have thrive to spread it across, so that an atmosphere of peaceful coexistence is established.
Every speaker lauded the efforts of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Mumbai for the remarkable initiative of bringing scholars and religious heads on one platform through this Peace Symposium and appreciated our efforts in trying our best to remind the world about the dire need for Peace.
Concluding the Symposium, Mr. Masarrat Ahmad Mundasgar, President of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat Mumbai spoke on the need to spread the message of LOVE FOR ALL HATRED FOR NONE from the perspective of Islam. He reflected the teachings of the Holy Quran and the sayings of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) of Islam and from the writings of the founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat. He made mention how the Khalifa Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the worldwide head of the Jamaat is spearheading a campaign for peace in the world and how the Jamaat is engaged in serving the humanity.
