Pakistan: Bishop Nazir Alam joins Islamist extremist religio-political group JUI-F
JUI-F head Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman remarked that the party is known for its representation of minorities. Bishop Nazir Alam joining the party is a good omen for the country and humanity, he remarked.

KARACHI: Bishop Reverend Nazir Aalam, the Bishop of Pakistan, announced to join Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) on Thursday.
“Together we will work for Pakistan’s progress and security,” said Reverend Nazir Alam, who is the Bishop of United Church of Pakistan, while speaking at Qasr-e-Naz in Karachi.
Speaking on the occasion, JUI-F head Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman remarked that the party is known for its representation of minorities.
Bishop Nazir Alam joining the party is a good omen for the country and humanity, he remarked.
“Picking up weapons will serve no purpose, change can only come through the parliamentary system and people,” he said. Pakistan’s future is dependent on democracy and parliamentary system, he added.
Bishop Nazir Alam remarked that he completely trusts the leadership of Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman.
