Pakistan: Jama'at Ahmadiyya issues statement on murder of Ahmadi member in Khanpur, Punjab
Under National Action Plan hate speech was specifically pointed out and there were plans to curtail it. But nothing has been done against hate speech and opponents of Ahmadis are openly propagating hatred against Ahmadis.

A 62 year old Ahmadi Basharat Ahmad killed because of his faith.

Chenab Nagar(PR) An Ahmadi Basharat Ahmad from Khanpur, district Rahimyar Khan was shot dead because of his faith last night. Basharat Ahmad was going to his home from his petrol station. His petrol station is located on Zahir Pir road which connects the city to main Pakistan highway. Unknown gunmen shot him at point blank range and he fell on the road. He died on the spot.
He had no enormity towards anyone and just because of his faith he was shot dead. He was 62 year old and has left behind his widow and 3 children, a daughter and two sons.
Spokesperson of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Pakistan Saleemuddin condemned this barbaric attack and said that in last 35 days this is the third Ahmadi who was killed because of his faith in Just Punjab province. Before this an Ahmadi lawyer Malik Slaeem Latif sahab was killed in Nankana district while Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad was killed in Lahore.
Saleemuddin said hate material is continuously spread against the community and as a result there are more attacks against Ahmadis. Under National Action Plan hate speech was specifically pointed out and there were plans to curtail it. But nothing has been done against hate speech and opponents of Ahmadis are openly propagating hatred against Ahmadis.
Saleemuddin demanded the culprits should be arrested and more should be done to provide safety to Ahmadis.
