The protests happening in more than 20 major cities, including Chicago.
Seven people were arrested at the Capitol in St. Paul, the Minnesota State Patrol tweeted from its official account. "Well radical Muslims are killing their own people".
"Most of these protests are happening because people don't know what the true teaching of Islam are", said Rizwan Ahmad, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

"People are being run over in the street with trucks and little kids are being blown up", Sleater said, referring to recent attacks in London and Manchester.
It also warned Muslims to take extra precautions against potential violence over the weekend. Some wore red hats with Trump's campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again". The counter-protesters shouted, "Nazis!"
