The 51st Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, UK, is set to begin on Friday, 28 July at Hadeeqatul Mahdi, an English countryside near Alton, a 55 mile drive from London.
The Convention, starting after Friday prayers, is scheduled to last for 3 days.
The Friday Sermon will be delivered by His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the supreme spiritual leader of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community.
After the Friday prayers, the convention will start with hoisting of flags, a hallmark ceremonial feature of the convention, where the convention-goers - along with millions of viewers worldwide - will see Ahmadi Muslims raise Liwa-e-Ahmadiyyat (Ahmadiyya Flag) and the Union Jack, the national flag of the United Kingdom.
The event attracts delegates from the world over and more than 30,000 are expected to attend this year.
