With an open day, the Islamic reform community Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat wants to use the Day of German Unity on Tuesday, October 3, to draw attention to the fact that Islam is also part of Germany. On this day all mosques of this Islamic community are open to the guests from 11 am to 6 pm. The Afiyat Mosque in Tiengen in Badstraße 22a has opened its doors to all who want to get information.

"We want to throw a new, prejudice-free light on Islam and provide information on the various aspects of the faith and Islamic teachings," said Mansoor Ahmed Ghuman, the responsible imam of the church.

The Islamic reform community dissociates itself according to own data from radicalism and goes other ways.

"We show our solidarity and loyalty to other religions to the country in which we live," are statements for which the faithful stand. This also includes the inviolability of human dignity. The reform community claims that its founder Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad is the Messiah and Mahdi of Islam prophesied by the Prophet Muhammad. The municipality was founded in 1889.

"In contrast to the other Islamic religious communities, we believe that our Messiah has already come, the others are still waiting for him," confirmed the Imam from Tiengen. The main focus of this Islamic religious community is to put Islam on a contemporary basis, clean up mistakes and establish Islam as a peaceful, tolerant and spiritual belief. Fanaticism, violence and terror are strictly rejected in the name of religion.

With an exhibition on Islamic time travel, visitors are to be brought closer to the origins of Islam, there are offers for children and for the whole family.
