Australia: Canberra Peace Symposium 2017 – “World Crisis and Pathway to Peace”

This symposium is the key annual event of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Canberra being held this time at the picturesque and peaceful location of Greenhills Centre Stromlo on Sunday 10th December 2017 at 2:30pm.

The event promotes a deeper understanding between people of all faiths and people who don’t subscribe to any faith and seeks to inspire a concerted effort for lasting peace.

The event is expected to attract more than 100 guests including leading politicians, diplomats, academics, religious and secular leaders and members of the public and community.

The National President and Grand Imam of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia, Mr. I. H. Kauser said:
“This peace symposium provides a unique platform to leaders of all faiths and of no faith to sit under one roof, break bread together and discuss different ways and challenges in establishing lasting peace in our society. It is a unique gathering in a way that discusses only one theme and that is peace. We, the Ahmadi Muslims, are eager to learn and spread the message of peace and harmony which is important and more crucial than it has ever been. Our objective is to bring communities and leaders together and making an alliance to establish peace and harmony in our society.”

Imam Kauser further said:
“This event is for all those who are interested in learning about peace building and community relations. Sharing is caring, so let everyone come and bring their own religious perspectives on how we can achieve peace. Having people from different faiths, colours, cultures and backgrounds sitting under one roof is a sign of love, respect and harmony. How to achieve peace within yourself, in family, with friends, society, around the country and all over the world? "

Ahmadiyya Muslim community has been leading a peaceful revival of Islam that stands for education, integration, loyalty and interfaith peace. It is also involved in various efforts to contribute towards charities such as the Red Cross, Clean Up Australia Day, National Tree Plantation, feeding homeless just to mention a few. The motto of the community is “Love for all, hatred for none”.
