"[I]ncredibly strong relationship with the Household Cavalry/Coldstream Guards"

A visit to Combermere Barracks gave members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Slough and South Bucks a day to remember.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was in 1889, spanning over 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. It rejects terrorism in any form and its current headquarters are in the United Kingdom.

More than 30 members from its Slough and South Bucks branch enjoyed a guided tour of the barracks in St Leonard's Road last week. The visit had been arranged by Staff Corporal Leigh Preston from the Household Cavalry and included a tour of the barracks themselves, the museum, soldiers' quarters and horse stables.

Atiq Ahmad Bhatti, president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Slough and South Bucks said: "Over the past few years we have built an incredibly strong relationship with the Household Cavalry/Coldstream Guards in Windsor and to be given an opportunity to see the Combermere Barracks was truly wonderful. We very much look forward to our next visit to see the ceremonial side of the regiment in the coming months."
