A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary (AMJSL), and Mr. I. Shakeel Ahmad (Photographer) visited to Ministry of Agriculture in Colombo recently (07/03/2018).
Ministry Officials welcomed the delegation and arranged to meet Hon. Wasantha Aluwihare, State Minister of Agriculture.
Prior to the presentation of the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the Minister, Jama’at delegation briefed to the Minister about the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and said that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (a.s.) claimed to be the Promised Reformer of this age as foretold in four major religions of the world, namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. After his demise, the system of Khilafath established in this Community as of system of Caliph established after the demise of Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
The delegation pointed out about the unique feature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and said that this is the only Community in Islam which has Spiritual Leadership established by God and termed as ““ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’.
While accepting Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation, Minister said: this gift should be given to all 225 M.Ps and commended the task of Ahmadiyya Community for striving to achieve global peace. The Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace were also presented to the Minister.
The delegation also visited to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Ministry Officials welcomed them and arranged to meet Hon. Champika Premadasa, state Minister of Industry and Commerce.
Minister was very much delighted to get the gift of Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation.
Introducing the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace – A compilation of addresses in various Parliaments by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, May Allah Strengthen his hands, it was told about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, UK Parliament, Ireland Parliament, New Zealand Parliament, Dutch Parliament, Canada Parliament and so on so forth.
On hearing these, Minister showed much interest on the book and started to turn pages, saw the photo of Hazrat Khalifathul Masih V (a.t.a) for a moment, further gone to pages and saw the pictures of Huzur’s addresses in various parliaments and sought further details on this.
Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation as well as the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace were presented to the Minister.
