Sri Lanka: Sympathy for Mankind, source of Sympathy of God - State Minister of Fisheries


Hon. Minister spent much time to have conversation with the Jama’at delegation and it was very clearly observed of his interest on social service and welfare of the society.

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary (AMJSL), and Mr. I. Shakeel Ahmad (Photographer) visited to Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Colombo recently (28/02/2018).

Ministry Officials welcomed the delegation and arranged to meet Hon. Dilip Wedaarachchi, Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.

Prior to the presentation of the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the Minister, Jama’at delegation pointed out about the unique feature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and said that this is the only Community in Islam which has Spiritual Leadership (Khalifa) established by God and termed as ““ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’.

As the Minister showed much interest on serving the humanity, the Jama’at delegation briefed about the service of Humanity First and recalled its services in Sri Lanka during the Tsunami 2004.

Introducing the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace – A compilation of addresses in various Parliaments by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, May Allah Strengthen his hands, it was told about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, UK Parliament, Ireland Parliament, New Zealand Parliament, Dutch Parliament, Canada Parliament and so on so forth.

On hearing these, Minister showed interest to see the photo of Ahmadiyya Khlaifa and said, I will write letter to your Khalifa seeking his valuable support for the poverty stricken people in certain part of the Island, particularly in his constituency (Tangalle area) and added that these poor people are direly in need of basic things of human being. Minister went on to say, showing sympathy on human being, is a source of attaining sympathy of God.

Hon. Minister spent much time to have conversation with the Jama’at delegation and it was very clearly observed of his interest on social service and welfare of the society.

Prior to this, Jama’at delegation visited the Ministry of Skills Development and Vocational Training. Ministry Officials welcomed the delegation and arranged to meet the Hon. Chandima Weerakkody, Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training.

After reading the introductory letter given by the delegation, Minister drew the attention of certain conspiracy to create disharmony among the communities connecting with sterilizing pills allegedly mixed with food and sold. These cannot be scientifically proved and this fact could be made known to public by you all, as Muslim Community, Minister added.

Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation as well as the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace were presented to both the Minister.
