Sri Lanka: Quran Sinhala Translation gifted to Prime Minister, other leaders of executive branch

The delegation pointed out about the unique feature of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and said that this is the only Community in Islam which has Spiritual Leadership established by God and termed as ““ONE COMMUNITY – ONE LEADER’.

A three member delegation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sri Lanka (AMJSL) comprising Mr. A. Abdul Aziz, Press Secretary and National Director Faith Outreach – AMJSL, Moulavi A.B. Musthaq Ahmad – Chief Missionary (AMJSL), and Mr. I. Shakeel Ahmad (Photographer) visited to Ministry of Primary Industries in Colombo recently (03/04/2018).

Ministry Officials welcomed the delegation and arranged to meet Hon. Muthu Sivalingam, newly appointed Deputy Minister of Primary Industries.

Prior to the presentation of the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the Minister, Jama’at delegation briefed to the Minister about the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and said that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (a.s.) claimed to be the Promised Reformer of this age as foretold in four major religions of the world, namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. After his demise, the system of Khilafath established in this Community as of system of Caliph established after the demise of Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

Introducing the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace – A compilation of addresses in various Parliaments by His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, May Allah Strengthen his hands, it was told about the tireless efforts being made by the Khalifa and the Ahmadiyya worldwide leader, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, by spreading the true teachings of Islam through various means, particularly addressing lawmakers at Capitol Hill, EU Parliament, UK Parliament, Ireland Parliament, New Zealand Parliament, Dutch Parliament, Canada Parliament and so on so forth.

Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation as well as Tamil Translation of the Holy Qur’an and the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace were presented to the Minister. A picture of Promised Messiah (a.s.) also presented.

Also in the recent time, the Jama’at delegation visited to the Prime Minister’s Office in Colombo, to gift the Copy of the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to Hon. Ranil Wickramasinghe, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. Due to the current political situation in the country, it was told to the Jama’at delegation about the busy schedule of the PM who directed to A.W. Pathiraja, Director, Public Relations to accept the Holy Qur’an on his behalf.  Prior to the presentation of the Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation to the Minister, Jama’at delegation briefed to the Minister about the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and said that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (a.s.) claimed to be the Promised Reformer of this age as foretold in four major religions of the world, namely Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam. A.W. Pathiraja, Director, Public Relations of PM’s Office showed much interest on matter of religion and spent much time to have conversation with Jama’at delegation on this. Even though he is a Buddhist, he has belief of Existence of God. On this very subject he himself used the word ‘God’ and continued to say that whenever people gone astray, God sends persons to guide people in the right path. Founders of all major religions were sent by God and these religions admonish good teachings, unfortunately some Muslims do evil things, using prohibited drugs etc. and thus go against the teachings of Allah and His Prophet, A.W. Pathiraja added.

On request, A.W. Pathiraja was also gifted Holy Qur’an Sinhala Translation as well as the Sinhala Translation of the book World Crisis and the Pathway To Peace.
