A local court today fixed February 18 as the next date of hearing in the Malerkotla Quran desecration case.

“We demanded the discharge of AAP New Delhi MLA Naresh Yadav from case as there is no proof against him. The court of JMIC, Sangrur, Ajay Mittal, has fixed February 18 as the next date of hearing,” said the counsel for Yadav.

During the intervening night of June 24-25, 2016, Malerkotla residents had found torn pages of Quran scattered in a street.
