CHINO- The Southern California chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, also known as Majlis Khuddam-ul Ahmadiyya (MKA), announced plans to host their next Community Blood Drive - on Sunday, January 31 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The blood collection will take place at Baitul-Hameed Mosque in Chino.

In their efforts to meet their goal of collecting 2000 bags of blood for the year 2010, MKA–USA and Humanity First–USA (HF-USA), a humanitarian services and disaster relief - charitable organization, are hosting Community Blood Drives throughout the United States.

The event organizers advised that the blood drive is open to the public and the organizers have encouraged community members to invite their friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

“.. [O]ur goal here is to maximize the number of lives we save,” said Fahad Rajpoot who serves as Regional Social Services Coordinator for the local MKA chapters. “so now is the opportunity to do our part to save lives, and what better time and what better way to save lives than the New Year.”

Mr Rajpoot suggests that the best way to promote the Blood Drive is to direct people to register at givelife.org (using sponsor code: mka) and have them choose a time.

The drive will starts at 10:00 AM and will be conducted in a bloodmobile parked at the Baituil Hamieed Mosque located at 11941 Ramona Ave, Chino, California.
