According to the group, the malicious acts are caused as a result of lack of truth, justice, fair play and disregard to the rule of law, which are the basic foundation for a true democratic environment.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria, has called on religious and political leaders in the country to come out with a solution that will ensure a harmonious religious and political atmosphere conducive for good governance.

The organisation in a communiqué issued at the end of its three-day national conference with the theme: “Religion, Politics and Good Governance”, held between April 2 and 4, in Abuja, urged Nigerians to always pray fervently for the nation and for visionary leaders who will have divine spirit in their hearts to do the right things that will put Nigeria in its rightful positions not only in West Africa and Africa but also in the world at large.

In the communiqué, which was signed by its Media Relations Officer, Qazim Akinreti, the group said that it was obvious that there were threats to peace, security, prosperity and unity in the country culminating into intermittent political crises, ethnic conflicts and daily reportage of political assassinations and stage-taking across the country.

According to the group, the malicious acts are caused as a result of lack of truth, justice, fair play and disregard to the rule of law, which are the basic foundation for a true democratic environment.

It stated that individuals and  the country at large had done a lot of damage to the climate in form of ozone layer depletion, as a result of chemical and industrial pollution, gas flaring etc, which had resulted in various health hazards and diseases.

It, therefore, called on Nigerians to be environment-friendly, protecting it from pollution, deforestation, desertification, gas and noise pollution, ocean surge or drift, erosion, bush burning, combustible nuisances, among others.
