A Muslim organization that condemns bloodshed is holding a national youth conference convention in Milwaukee this weekend.
About 1,200 teenage boys from throughout the U.S. are attending the event sponsored by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community organization. The worldwide group, headquartered in Washington D.C. was founded in 1920 and has branches throughout the country.
Muhammed Chaudhry is a spokesman for the organization and helps lead its youth group. He told WUWM’s Bob Bach the worldwide group follows the teachings of a messiah who sought the peaceful practice of Islam, an end to fanatical beliefs such as religious war, and the separation of mosque and state.
