Our country faces terrorism at home and abroad. While terrorism has no religion, American-Muslims must accept that negative forces are trying to influence American-Muslim youth to become terrorists, and, sadly, they are having some success.
The Holy Koran (55:61) teaches us that the recompense of goodness is nothing but goodness. Therefore, Muslims living in this great land, enjoying all its freedoms, liberties and benefits must take concrete actions to strengthen and foster peace in, and loyalty to, our homeland - America.
Islam teaches and requires that Muslims live as loyal citizens of the countries where they reside. The Holy Koran [4:60] declares: "O ye who believe! Obey God, and obey His Messenger and those who are in authority among you." Prophet Muhammad taught: Love of one’s country of residence is part of faith. Let it be known: Muslims who rebel against the rule of law invite the wrath of God, not His pleasure. The Holy Book of Islam, the Holy Quran (2:12-16), states that inciting rebellion, sowing sedition and creating disorder is a means of damnation, not salvation.
In this spirit, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA -- the oldest American-Islamic organization in history -- launched its new “Muslims for Loyalty” campaign this week. We have printed several hundred thousand "Muslims for Loyalty" fliers. We have purchased ad space on buses and the metro in the U.S. capital to convey the same message to our fellow Americans.
This is why on Tuesday hundreds of our members braved the bitter cold and handed out 100,000 "Muslims for Loyalty to the USA" fliers at 16 metro stations. This brochure firmly and clearly states that American-Muslims must be loyal to their homeland – the United States of America
Our “Muslims for Loyalty” campaign intends to peacefully but forcefully convey to Americans that all such messages which encourage disloyalty to, or terrorism against, America contradict the teachings of Islam, the Holy Koran and Prophet Mohamed.
America has been asking for the proliferation of this message. This message of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community can defeat those extremist elements from within Islam who wish to exploit Islam for their own nefarious political ends.
