New Delhi, Delhi, February 21, 2011 /India PRwire/ -- Youth organization of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, is hosting a Peace Symposium on February 23, 2011 at New Delhi Institute of Management from 11A.M onwards.
The symposium has its theme 'Universal Peace and Brotherhood'. The event aims to denounce extremism and terrorism and promote the true guiding principles, including peace, loyalty to one's country and justice for all. Notably the symposium seeks to provide a platform to bring people together to a common rallying point of establishing harmony in the society.
Significantly, the symposium brings together people from all walks of life - Religious leaders from different faiths, academicians, bureaucrats and students to forward the cause of peace. Prominent dignitaries participating in the event are : Swami Agnivesh, Social Activist; Professor Yashpal, Chancellor JNU and renowned scientist; IGNOU vice-chancellor V.N.Rajasekharan Pillai; Prof. Omcherry N.N. Pilllai, Chairman Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan; Dr. Ved Pratap Vedic, Political Analyst, Activist and Journalist; Dr. Babu Joseph, Spokesperson , Catholic Bishop Conference of India; Mr. Amok Das, Youth Preacher, Delhi wing of ISKON; Adesh Goyal, Representative, Art of Living, Shiraaz Ahmad, Secretary, Education Department, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Mr. Tanveer Ali, the President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, Delhi explains, "This is a small initiative by our youth to spread peace everywhere as the people in today's time have become materialistic and they are not even bothered whether their next door person is living in peace or not. Youth are the backbone of every organization and if they stand up for this goal then we can expect extraordinary results to establish peace"
The youth association of the Ahmadiyya Community, with their slogan 'Love For All, Hatred For None', condemns terrorism and believes in loyalty to one's country, the separation of religion and government and human rights for all.
About Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya
Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya (MKA) or the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association is the youth wing of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community are Muslims who believe in the Messiah, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian, India who founded this community in 1889. Since its inception the community has spread across 198 countries. MKA was established by Hadhrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (ra), the second Khalifa or Successor to the Promised Messiah, on February 4th, 1938. MKA is a unique, dynamic and vibrant organisation. It is also actively involved in humanitarian services. Activities include holding peace conferences to promote mutual respect and working on social projects to tackle problems facing youth.
