Jakarta - Youth Movement (GP) Ansor condemned the raids on Ahmadiyya houses in Cikeusik, Pandeglang which killed 4 people.

The raid could not be justified, JP said.

"GP Ansor condemned the invasion of the Ahmadis homes in the village of Umbulan, Cikeusik, Pandeglang," said Chairman of GP Ansor, Nusron Wahid told AFP in a release on Sunday (2/6/2011).

According to the Information obtained by GP, the death toll has reached 7 people. However, Mubarik Ahmad, the Ahmadiyah spokesman put the death toll is 4 people.

According to Nusron, raid action and to deny civil rights of the people cannot be justified under any pretext.

"Indonesia is a country of law, not a state or a country of jungle heros who justify violence and anarchy even when carried out under the pretext of faith or truth whatsoever," he said.

According Nusron, the state must act firmly against anyone involved in violence. Countries must also be capable of protecting its citizens, because this kind of attack cannot be repeated.

"The state must be firm, should not be weakened, much less defeated by militia gangs or civilians who clearly are disruptive and disturbing the peace and public tranquility," said Nusron.

He asked that the problems faced with religious dialogue should be dealt with wisely. "Upholding the truth of religion must be carried out the right way. Not by tarnishing the truth and vaiolating the sanctity of religious teachings. The dialogue should take precedence," he concluded.
