ABOUT 100 people of different faiths gathered at a peace conference held at a Cradley Heath mosque.
Politicians, police and religious leaders spoke at the event organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association at the Baitul Mahdi Mosque.
Residents living close to the School Street mosque were also present and a £1,000 cheque was presented to the British Heart Foundation from the association.
Guests included Ahmadi scholar Maulana Abdul Ghaffar, police inspector Ian Massey, Rev Hilary Hankey, Dr Farooque Ahmed, Green Party representative Will Duckworth and community co-ordinator Toban Ephram.
The theme for last Sunday's conference was love for all, hatred for none and it also featured a celebration of the life of the prophet Muhammad.
Association president Dr Masood Majoka said: "The conference has become an important annual feature seeking to build and strengthen bridges in the local community.
"We were honoured to have so many distinguished guests and are humbled by their continued support."
