USA: Equality principle makes America exceptional | Letter:

In light of this event, as a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, I am reminded of how grateful I am to live in a country which offers justice to all. For example, Mark Stroman received the death penalty for murdering two Dallas area Muslim-Americans and badly injuring a third.

Several months ago, three members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Indonesia were brutally murdered, their corpses then desecrated. The penalty for the attackers, though caught on video tape, was minimal.

In light of this event, as a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, I am reminded of how grateful I am to live in a country which offers justice to all. For example, Mark Stroman received the death penalty for murdering two Dallas area Muslim-Americans and badly injuring a third.

It is this principle of equality for all irrespective of religion which makes America truly exceptional and makes me proud to be an American.
