MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee-area Muslims mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
WISN 12 News was invited in to the celebration at the Ahmadiyya Muslim community at 56th Street and Fond du Lac Avenue in Milwaukee.
The day of thanks marks the end of Ramadan and the 30 days of fasting.
"We kind of recall what we went through in the fast and also we eat together, have a big meal and eat and be joyous about the fact that we can eat now," said Dr. Sabir Muhammad of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Ramadan is based on the lunar calendar and moves back by about 11 days every year.
